The place we often start is with the Working Genius Tool. This is a 20% personality and 80% productivity tool. It starts with self-awareness, and leads into how each person finds energy, joy and fulfilment in contributing to work.

The power of this tool comes from it's simplicity - your team will understand it within 15 minutes and then we will help them to apply it personally and to their teamwork.

Each team member learns about their own Geniuses and Frustrations, as well as those of their co-workers.

understanding.

These are the core building blocks of a team's ability to dynamically function in a healthy way:

1. Trust

2. Conflict

3. Commitment

4. Accountability

5. Results

We unpack these with your team and then focus on the area that presently has the best opportunity to develop in the team.

dynamics.

The final element for every team is to establish clear answers to these critical questions. Would everyone in give similar answers in your team?

1. Why do we exist?

2. How do we behave?

3. What do we do?

4. How will we succeed?

5. What is most important, right now?

6. Who must do what?

Suggestion: take 10 minutes in your next meeting to have everyone answer these questions confidentially, before sharing them amongst the room.

clarity.

The church is the body of Christ. Formed by a unique collection of individuals dynamically interacting for the benefit of each other, shining brightly amongst its community.

We equip your teams to function collectively, working as real teams rather than isolated departments and separated individuals.

Here are the 3 main areas we focus on to help a team develop the health to interactively solve their problems on their way to fulfilling their mission:

workshops.

There are 2 main formats that we use with teams, either in your premises or at an off-site location that's conducive to distraction-free focus.

All workshops are highly interactive for every participant, with the level of effectiveness being determined by how open and humble of an example the team leader can demonstrate.

"Working Genius helped us understand our frustrations and how to create wins moving forward - it provided our team with the most workplace self-awareness they have experienced"

Beyond it's simplicity and power, this workshop also gives leaders an excellent opportunity to encourage team members and provides language to better address challenges.

In our own church we have found this invaluable in hiring and team building as we now understand the gaps amongst existing teams, and have clarity around what is going to be required to succeed in a role.

The self-awareness alone amongst team members is well worth the time invested.

Working Genius Workshop

* Lead a small church? If you're church is less than 100 people we can happily make our workshops affordable for you.

This workshop incorporates Working Genius, Dynamics & Clarity, all into a 24 hour intensive. It's important to understand that this process isn't a teaching one, rather it's a learning experience that you will have the capacity to repeat, unassisted, in future offsite team meetings.

The objective is to significantly move the needle for your team in their understanding of themselves and the team, in their dynamic function and interaction together, as well as carrying clarity about the big picture and what's most important right now.

This is a deep-dive process, that involves a couple of pre and post-workshop conversations with the leader. In this way the time is tailored for the current needs being experienced by the team.

Duration: typically commences at lunchtime and concludes at lunchtime the next day.

Duration: 24hrs+

Pricing Guide: $2900 for up to 10 participants*

ChurchTeams workshops are delivered by Ps Luke Alcock as a ministry extension of LifeHouse Church. LifeHouse was first planted in Coffs Harbour in 1987 & since that time it has developed into campuses and community programs across regional NSW. LifeHouse seeks to establish big-spirited churches in small communities, while also carrying a sense of calling to bring the gospel to communities locally and globally.

Luke has been part of LifeHouse Church since 1997 and has been on staff in a combined governance, community and pastoring role since 2004. He came to LifeHouse with a background in public practise accounting and corporate banking.

The teamwork workshops that Luke delivers through ChurchTeams have been the result of his work with many of our LifeHouse teams, as well as other churches and businesses. This has a included his accreditation with the Table Group as a Working Genius facilitator.

Should you engage ChurchTeams to assist your church, you would be welcome to take the opportunity to have Luke spend some time with your governance team or to serve your church with either leadership or Sunday sermons.

Luke and his wife of 25 years, Cara, are the parents to 5 rambunctious children ranging in age from primary to late teens, and together they love adventuring around Australia, and particularly any sport that might involve 2 wheels.
